"I will try and keep Figges Marsh tidier during the summer (by picking up litter and emptying overflowing bins) but only if 5 other local people will help me do this."

More details
Figges Marsh in North Mitcham is a very popular open space among the local population. However, during the summer it can get very messy due to the volume of people using the park and the inadequate waste bins. It can become quite an eyesore during the summer which is a real shame. I think that it would make a real difference if we could empty the bins a bit more regularly than the local council during the summer and perhaps pick up the rubbish after the weekend. I don't know how often the council cleans Figges Marsh during the summer but I will find out if enough people are interested in getting involved. Thanks and look forward to picking up litter and meeting some local people who care about keeping their neighbourhood tidy. Also, I will provide bins gloves etc...
