If Cafe Rouge open a branch in Plumstead Common, London SE18, I pledge to patronise it at least once a month, but only if at least 300 local residents pledge to do so as well.

This pledge is being set up in order to inform Cafe Rouge that we wish to have a new branch in Plumstead Common, and that they would have an active market of local people as customers. We believe the area and its residents need a place like Cafe Rouge, or similar, and that such an establishment will help improve the area, as well as enhance residents' quality of life and enjoyment of the local area.

• Yes, yes to a restaurant, but why Cafe Rouge? It's RUBBISH for veggies! And sorry if it's not as classy, but wouldn't you be better going for, say, an Italian at this stage? It would probably have a wider appeal!
