Public spaces such as parks and commons should be available for the use of the general public, and in particular local communities, for their enjoyment and charity events in need of an affordable venue. The current policy goes against this, instead favouring profit making businesses which take money away from the local community, rather than benefitting it. The policy should be changed.

The many varied community events in Brockwell Park are the reason I moved to Herne Hill. The fee paying events that are now replacing them do not serve the local community and prevent locals from accessing the park.
