More details
I am a participant in the Free State Project, www.freestateproject.org, which has the goal of getting 20,000 people to agree to move to New Hampshire where they will work to bring about a society in which government’s maximum role is protecting life, liberty, and property. However, I don’t want to wait for 20,000 to agree to move before relocating. I want to move now. I am calling on liberty lovers everywhere to move with me, to be a pioneer for freedom, to be a beacon of liberty in the Free State. Together we can bring about a state with increased liberties and reduced government. Join me!

All current FSP participants are urged to pledge to an early move. And those who have already moved (since 10/1/03) are also eligible for inclusion. For non-participants, signing the FSP’s SOI is not required, though we encourage it should you desire to do so. Of greater import, is creating the Free State we know *can* exist by gathering together and being activists for freedom.

New Hampshire was already one of the top states closest to the goal of liberty at the time of the state vote in 2003. At that time the participants chose New Hampshire among all of the ten candidate states to be the center of freedom in the United States. The state motto “Live Free or Die” personifies Granite State residents, who have an innate distrust of government and a lack of tolerance for it stepping out of bounds. The governorship is the weakest of all states due to constitutionally mandated checks and balances. The House of Representatives has 400 members which for this small state allows for perhaps the best representation in the country. State reps are motivated by a desire to serve the people as evidenced by the fact that their compensation is $100 year! Not professional politicians but rather concerned citizens are serving! For more information on New Hampshire visit the FSP NH Info webpages.

Already, early movers are having an impact towards a free society. Several early movers have run for office and some have won! Other early movers have been appointed to offices on school, budget, and planning committees/boards. The New Hampshire Liberty Alliance (http://nhliberty.org), founded by FSP participants, produces an annual report card on our Representatives (http://nhliberty.org/2005ReportCard) as well as closely screens all new proposed legislation. Another early mover founded a scholarship fund (http://www.lsfund.org/) to help families tied to the public school system to use a private school or try homeschooling. Several instances of civil disobedience have been staged to bring to light overbearing state controls (http://www.fosters.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...). And several public gatherings related to social security card abuse, and eminent domain have been held (http://www.nhfree.com/). A newly relocated Porcupine is now Chair of the New Hampshire Republican Liberty Caucus (http://nh.rlc.org/), another participant is the Democratic Freedom Caucus chair and several LP leaders are also FSP participants. Participants who signed up before the vote but who have always lived in New Hampshire, continue to be active in keeping the government in check!

Come join me in New Hampshire! Let's build a Free State together!
